Hair Algae or Bryopsis?

When doing the treat did you guys continue running carbon and skimmer?
Please read the link I posted for you [emoji6] There is a FAQ immediately following the OP's 1st post that tells you everything you need to know to correctly treat your tank. Any questions you could have are already answered in the FAQ. Even some you might not have thought of! I could answer you now but if I do that then you won't read the VERY IMPORTANT FAQ and could miss something that will matter to you [emoji12]
You can find the link in this thread (posted at least twice) on post #s 21 & 25 lol

One 200mg capsule per 10g of wv. The full instructions are on the 1st page or 2 of the bryopsis/fluconazole thread I posted a link to last night.
Thanks I thought I had read all of the FAQ's and must have read too quickly. I have placed an order and will let you guys know the progress. Thank you for starting this thread.

Received my fluco today. I'll do a water change on Sunday, and then add the meds. I'll log the changes here. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully I'll finally win this battle.

Did a 20gl water change today. Added 5 fluco after the water change.

Let the battle begin.

Day 2.

No changes noticed so far. Skimmer and GFO are not running since yesterday. Just waiting to see changes.

crap, should have done that before the water change. Now scrubbing will dirty up the water.
Well you also already dosed the meds too. Worse comes to worse you might have to do with second dosing but I don't think you will.

Day 3

Not seeing much difference. Maybe the greenness of the fern is littler lighter or that could be my eyes tricking me to wishful thinking. Maybe dose 5 more after 5 days are up?

No just wait - It's like magic you'll be doing the happy dance soon lol. I bet you go to the tank many times a day to check (we ALL did)!

You are not kidding. Today alone I've checked the tank at jest 8 to 10 times just to see if it turned white.

I just did the water change on Saturday. So I'm guessing that's the reason water looks clean. No noticeable difference, if I had to guess.

Once the fluconazole starts killing it off, at least for me anyway, my water didn't even look like it was in there - it was that clear. I didn't turn carbon back on for about 2 months

Day 4

Captain's log. No sign of horizon. We are still fighting.

In all honesty, things haven't changed. The water does look very clean. Unless it's wishful thinking or unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, I think the Bryopsis are little lighter shades of green. Its turning white maybe? Only time will tell.

Day 5

I see very light white on some of the algae. I think there's light at the end of the tunnel. Hoping it'll turn all white very soon.
