Hello I have a 10 gallon nano reef with a goby and a couple of corals. For the last year i have been battling hair algae. I have tried everything i could think of, limiting light hours, water changes, phosphate removal products, api algae remover, snails, hermit crabs. At this point i am desperate for ideas. Any input would be appreciated, thankyou.

Chemi pure blue, rowaphos, and purigen cleared up all my algae and cyano...I used all 3 at the same time.

You could also try raising the magnesium to 1500 or so in case it is bryopsis and not gha....you need to determine where the nutrients are coming from...lack of water changes, heavy feedings, not using rodi for water (or not changing rodi filters often enough)...somewhere there is a nutrient sink....just need to figure out where that is...then the algae will starve and die off

I had a terrible problem with hair algae that did not respond to snails, hermit crabs, sea hare, manual removal, GFO, and other treatments. It wasn't until I started siphoning the sand bed that the algae problem cleared. My tank is doing better than ever. Something to think about........
