Manual removal, with toothbrush, and adding to clean up crew.
Mexican turbos and tux urchins.

you ever blow your rocks off with a turkey baster/pipette or something similar? a lot of food and detritus get in the crevices of rocks and if you don’t have enough copepods and little cleaners like micro brittle starfish, it’s easy to get a build up that eventually leaches nitrates out, promoting hair algae. this happened in my first reef tank and after a few rock cleaning sessions, followed by water changes to help remove everything, the hair algae died down a ton. manual removal at the same time should keep it from becoming more of an issue

Thank you. I’ve been blowing the rocks off with a turkey baster constantly as a matter fact, nonstop.

I have been trying to scrape it off with a toothbrush as best as I can, but it’s growing back pretty quick
