You need to install an ATS, Reduce Photo Period, Reduce Feeding (DONT DO A WATER CHANGE TILL IT STARTS TO DIE), Add GFO... Way to much excess Nutrients.

It's bryopsis. Good luck. Next time, ditch the frag plug and use your own. Coral dip wont kill bryopsis. People claim its a nutrient issue. I beg to differ.

There are easy ways to rid of an algae problem.
First is manual cleaning and removal of the algae (this is what an ATS does but no cost involved )
Next is look at what you are introducing into the water.
No need to worry about testing po4 as it will not show a result. The algae is taking it all.
Do a 75% plus water change to pull down the available nutrients.
From there after a lot of manual work spot treat areas that come up with h2o2.
You must look into what you are adding into the water and frequency.

yep I recall your early threads CMD about when this prob was new, it had to be headed off then, early action. same action still applies only a lil later in the game...you have to hand guide and hand ensure a no algae tank. if you can get that without hand guiding, through nutrient controls only, then that's lucky but you don't let that mode decide. currently no hand guiding is the cause

clean up the tank using an algaecide option, then install your preventatives. all the items listed to prevent algae aren't meant to remove it...we should remove it by hand each time a natural control didn't work.

its handy to see your problem as self-grown/self-initiated algae because it frees you up from having to even measure nutrients to be algae free, always like we do in pico reefs x10000

now if you'll detail nutrients, and put in a fine scrubber et al, that'll stop that growback...but the secret to be algae free is not related to anything other than seeing it, and leaving it in.

get an animal to do this for us, also good natural approach

Start using nopox. Manually remove what you can. You'll never have the issue again. (including bryopsis)
