Won't let my ZOA's open or my Gsp..I quarentined a bunch of hermits for a week n a half...with no food source for them...and put them in my big tank...at first they cleaned everything spotless. Because they were so hungry. Now...once again..after moving one LR here we are full of algae all over my Gsp and Xenia's and frog spawn and ZOA's... Did a RO water change/top off..every thing loved it...but the hairy mushrooms and frog spawn.

More snails, less hermits.

What size tank and how old is it? Do you have recent test numbers for NO3 and PO4?

Its 3 years old. And no we have to buy a new kit tomorrow

Take a water sample with you can get the store to test it as well – that way you have two points of reference. :)

What kind of snails

What size tank? ;)

Black Cerith snails are my favorite, but usually a mix works best. Just be careful with large snails like Turbos as they need A LOT of algae to avoid starving to death. Usually they are not a good idea in a small tank.

16 gallon Nano reef tank.
We have 2 zombie snails...I need snails that arnt going to try and escape...drives my fiance nuts.
