got a hair algae problem in a high flow corner of the tank. It’s green and some of its white. Undetectable nitrates and phosphate. Extremely low bio load and light feedings. Skimmer carbon and gfo.
I haven’t changed anything what would cause it? RODI from BRS reads a constant 0 tds on the meter. RODI media is still good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks reefers

Pictures would help. Sounds more like byropsis then GHA but without a good clear picture I’m just guessing.

If it turns out to be byropsis then reef flux may help you get rid of it.

If it’s regular green hair algae it could be intense lighting or maybe the wrong spectrum feeding the algae.

Need pics.

The no po4 no3 three thing stopping algae is a myth. It Lower the chance of it.
You run a greater risk of starving your coral and good bacteria getting dinos and chrystos.

Can you remove the rocks that it’s on? If so pull them out and spray them with hydrogen peroxide, let it sit a few minutes and put it back. It will probably die off in 3 days. If you try to kill it by changing parameters you may end up with an outbreak.
