I neglected my tank for a month. I wasn’t cleaning the tank, I would only top it off and feed the fish. I just did a 50% water change and my rocks have a ton of hair algae. How would I remove it. I will be adding a new clean up crew next week.

Take individual rocks out and use a toothbrush to remove gha. If it is difficult to brush off, dip toothbrush in peroxide and rinse in bucket of tank water. Another option is to soak rock for 10 minutes in a 10% solution of 3% h2o2 and brush off dead algae before returning to tank.

Or just shorten your light cycle, feed a little less, and get that clean up crew to work!
