i got about 2-3 inch hair algae in various spots, most i can correct, but the problem is on the rocks which i have coral growing on...my readings are good, the tank is 6 plus years established, i use ro water, only two fish in the tank. I have used reeflux and phosphate rx, to no avail, tho reading for ph stood at 12, never used peroxide, not that i know much there, have gone dark, which i believe to be a joke, plus coral does need light. Other option, is how long can i have coral out of tank, to maybe try something weird there. Was actually going to use a small tank of whatever and burn it off. Of all my tanks never once have i had a green problem, guess its my turn.....nothing added to the tank in years. You can see i,m a little confused as to what next. I look forward to the help

More details are needed for this fabulous forum to help you.
Tank size, filtration, perimeters, maintenance regiment, specimens in the tank, CUC.
Thats just a start.
I would like to know the " EXACT" protocol you used with Reeflux, as I have treated. many tanks in the last 3 years with reeflux including my own with 100% success. There is a method, and it must be followed.
Don't get discouraged this forum will get you through to the other side.

Also close up pic of the algae would help to determine if simple GHA or briopsis instead which is harder to deal with.

30 gallon tank, two 2 hang on back filters,uv sterilizer, 4 fans, finnex lighting, 10 gallon water change every 2 weeks, 2 clown fish, and a cardinal, 1 crab which i assume was attached to one of the corals. Numerous mushroom rocks, 1 green kenya tree, 1 toadstool, couple zoas, 2 leather palms or fingers, star polyp, gorgorian 2 trees and a couple i have no idea what they are yet...you know freebies for spending a million dollars on line. 1 capsule per ten gallons, broke them open and put the powder, i have no outside anything on any of my tanks
