I'm gone for 4 weeks and saw my aquarium has a lot of green hair algae, so to remove them without hassle and not scrubbing every glass and rocks, do you guys think water change every week will help to remove it? I know my nitrate is high don't want to test it anymore until I made 5 water change and see some difference lol

light is running about 8 hrs a day and asked my little sister while I'm gone to feed them once a day only with pellets and flakes, total of 6 fish

Unfortunately, once hair algae is established it's a bit tougher to manage than just reducing nutrients. But that is still a good first (or second - see below) step. It'll be impossible to remove without lower nutrients as hair algae is extremely quick and efficient and nutrient uptake. Depending on how high nitrates are - you may want to do a quick series of 10-20% changes over a week.

Removing it is a pain, but it's also the best way to get rid of lot of it fast. If it dies off, it's just going to release nutrients back into the tank. Plus if gha is left too long it can establish a rhizome under the first layer or two of rock. At least then you'll always know where to find it (I have 3-4 places where it always grows). :)

After/along with the above - the usual - clean up crew, on going maintenance, maybe something to out compete (ATS). But it'll eventually (weeks/month or two) ibe much less and easier to manage and just an every few week thing to pull out from a few spots.

Good luck!

I would start by cleaning all the glass and scrubbing the rocks, to manually remove as much as possible. Then do some waterchanges if you want or need.
