Hey riverside! San Diego here!

You have a positive Id it's GHA?

Manual removal is best, scrub etc.
and beef up the snails. The Mexican turbos are my favorite for that.

If you have room (lol) might want to look into more herbivore fish.

I've seen lots of high po4 tanks with no alge , and it's all about the CUC and livestock

A short run of peroxide will also help if you're looking for a quick fix. Reef Safe Medic is expensive but works. It's supposed to fix ich - not sure how useful it is for that but it definitely kills algae… Or, I'm sure you could find other ways to dose peroxide. Medic is all I've used though. My tank was totally overgrown 3 weeks ago. Now it's clear and I'm beefing up the CUC to keep it down. Some are having good results also with either Vibrant (Im giving this a go) and/or fluconazole. Just search the forums - there's a few threads going with both
