How do I get rid of this? I think it may be killing my polyps. This rock was full, now most of them don't come out. Also 2nd pic what is this black bubble looking thing? I get them all the time and then they burst open.

Best course of action without impact on zoa would be liquid Vibrant which works well. Also in mean time, reduce white light intensity a little.

Emerald crabs are good at bubble algea and gha. Fun to watch too.
Hermits and snails are good for food, poop cleanup

Also, the bubble you see is bubble algae. You will just want to get a CUC established soon before things get out of control is all you need to do. I’d reduce the white light intensity for a few weeks while you get the CUC & they get to work.

LOL. ok I have 2 emerald crabs, 3 conch snails, 2 peppermint shrimp, 20 or so turbo snails, and only 1 cleaner shrimp. For some reason the cleaners keep dying. I also have 7 elephant snails... I think that's what they are called. Here is a pic.

Yeah you will want to get some critters to eat larger types of algae (like the hair algae). Just get you one of the premade CUC package deals on anyone’s website. You’ll wanna get some hermit crabs, nudis, sea hares, etc.

If there's other better tasting stuff, nobody touches the gha.
Why would I eat peas if I have fruit loops?

I have a filefish thats supposed to eat aptasia, a nuisance anemone.
Would not touch it until I fed every other day.

Do you run a refugium, the vibrant will take out any macro algae. It is a, algae eating bacteria.

You can get some fish that’ll eat them. If you see them, get boiling water in a syringe & hit em with it. Then superglue over them.
