I’ve been battling hair algae
I’ve got a pretty good size fuge
Recently my hair algae seems to be abating (good news)
My chaeto ball is ginormous
Thinking this could be part of reason hair algae abating

Hey Carl - are your nutrients low or hight? What's your Nitrates and Phosphates, and are you running a skimmer 24/7?

my parameters are all in line last i checked (week ago or so ) im due to check again

Ya, i take out a lot of Chaeto a week, grows good. My problem with running a low nutrient tank was still i'd get hair algae. My reasoning for asking about your parameters is that if they're zero, you'll still get algae. I used Dr. Tim's Refresh and Waste-away and followed the schedule over two weeks. Honestly most of it went away and i had a better understanding of bacteria! However, i still have some mossy type GHA in crevesis of my rocks, and i'll be using Reef Flux to get rid of that.
