Hair on Coraline

Has anyone every had hair algae growing on Coraline?

Yes, but it only grows on the coraline growing on my Sea Swirl return outlet. My mp40's, Gyres, and the entire plastic corner overflow is covered with coraline but hair algae never grows on any of it. I always thought that was kind of strange.
