Just recently got an anemone and was wondering the best way to keep it down. I have had it since Saturday so it’s been 4 days. I have put him just about everywhere in the tank and I have reduced flow drastically by cutting off both wave makers. All that is running is 250gph sump. For some reason no matter where I put this thing it keeps moving. I have to turn my waves back on soon so my corals don’t hate me. If someone could give me some kind of advice that would help! I have put it between to rocks and it crawled it’s way out. I put it at the top of my tank a pocket rock and came home from work and it had jumped off. I’m worried because most of the time it is on it’s face.

Just want to make sure I understand....it's attaching to the rock but moves? If that is the case, you don't place a anemone and expect it to stay in that one place. Anemones are like cats! They decided where they will go and there is nothing you can do about it.

Now, if the foot isn't attaching, maybe it's damaged. I've also put anemones in a hang-on holding bins (screen covered boxes) with a piece of rock in it to allow the anemone to attach to the rock. Once attached, I'd place that rock in the tank.....and the anemone would now move to were it was comfortable.

It hasn’t attached anywhere most the time it tumbles around but I am just goi g to hope it finds a spot or in going to give it to my brother in his tank
