I have melanurus and want another wrasse. How can I tell if a wrasse will be compatible. Any other helpful hints would be appreciated.

Melanarus aren’t generally that aggressive — but if a stand-alone wrasse they can be testy. Other halichoeres genus wrasse obviously pose the biggest risk. Fairy, flasher, leopard, etc wrasse do well with them generally.

They’re saucy enough that they can hold their own with many thalsomma species as well if you went that angle instead, depending on tank mates.

Thank you. Do you have any suggestion on the species. I have one cinnamon clown, benghi cardnial, and a dimond goby in 75 gallon.

Cirrhilabrus lubbocki this is the wrasse I'm leaning towards or I should say Heather my wife is.

That would be a good choice in a 75. It's a smaller fairy wrasse and known for it's ability to hold it's own with larger wrasses.

Lubbock is a beautiful and in expensive. Some local are prettier than other so choose your specimen well.
