hi all i just wanted to ask a question i have a 65 gallon reef ( 36"x18"x24"tall) i have a 400 watt 20000k halide in a tall canopy and the bottom of the bulb is 16" from the waters surface it covers the whole tank perfect with only a tiny center brace shadow im just wondering with it being so high is it gonna get enough light to house coral probaly lps and softies maybe some sps down the road not sure yet im just wondering how much it will benifit being so high and i have it centerd with the center brace so its directly under it so hopefully the center and sides will get enough light i just really have no way of knowing as i still have no corals yet only live rock it doesnt seem to be bleaching my coraline or anything so hopefully thats a sign its not gonna be to much light idk still new to the halide thing i know theres better choices in lighting but this is what i got and is all i can get at the time being as funds have been limited lately due to some problems around here but anyways i have it set up and running and looks great just seems with it being so high ( didnt want to strong of light or to much heat thats why its so high off the water i know i should probaly have a 250watt but as i said its all i can get a hold of now) so im open to all opinions and suggestions any bit will help thanks so much in advance and god bless
