So I currently have an ocean revive t247 and a fluval aquasky marine on my 65 mixed reef. I like the functions of the aquasky, but don't think it's got enough power to grow the few corals I have mostly softies. But I do have some Duncan's and candy canes and three entrusting corals that I was told were more on the beginner side. I dont have access to a par meter. I'm wondering which one if either of the lights to quit running, and what light I could buy that's not 5 million dollars.

Lighting may be the most important expense of a reef. Cheapest option would probably be a black box LED. One of the 300w viparspectra, marsaqua or philzon. Very powerful and cheap.

Other option if you like your current lighting would be to add an LED bar like orphek.

Would ditching the ocean revive for a current USA be an upgrade or meh?
Like a side grade if memory serves. An LED strip would be a better option for the price.
