They used to be very happy and full, now they’re completely closed up and have been for a few days. My little blenny has been spitting sand all over the place and some has been falling on the corals, could this really be the reason? Any other thoughts?

Temp and alk have been steady, we left town for a few days last weekend so salinity went up a couple points back its back to normal now, would that be it?

One looks completely dead and other is going out. I would say Alk or temp swings. Check your alk again.

I agree 1 looks like 99% tissue loss and the other > 50% tissue loss.

Have there been additions to the tank in the past 90 days?

Oh and a little bit of sand is not a big issue. You have something else going on. Post all of your parms please.

I would suggest

A little phosphate
420-480 calcium
Less flow/lighting
5-10 nitrate
