How do you feed the reef roids...by just putting it in the water column or spot feeding? Also if you spot feed them do they get this stringy stuff on them?? Mine do so I think I’m doing it wrong. It will be a few days before I feed again but I’m worried that I might be hurting them so I’m scared to do it. Please help

Reef roids spot feeding is way to go!! And the stringy stuff is normal. Put reef roids and a little tank water in a syringe and make sure it comes out kinda like toothpaste and spot feed it that way don't go crazy

Reef roids basically comes in a fine powder. It’s made of zooplankton and it’s easier for LPS corals to eat that don’t have big mouths. Best part of feeding reef roids is watching my fish and shrimp go crazy because they smell something good but can’t eat it.

I have reef roids and Benereef that I use but Benereef doesn’t thicken so I usually just pour it into the water column and the reef roids I use to spot feed. I usually use each one once a week. Should I feed more or less than that?? Sorry about all the questions but these are my first ever corals.

I used to feed roids 3 times a week. But I could tell most of my corals weren’t eating. You can tell when they’re eating. Some extend their feeding tentacles while other contract them in. For example my frogspawn will completely pull its tentacles in whereas acans will extend their tentacles that usually can’t be seen. Some corals prefer daytime feeding (like my galaxy) while some prefer eating at night. I now feed roids only once a week. I feed my fish LRS reef frenzy food and there are lots of tiny piece that the corals also feed off of. Trying to keep my nutrients at decent level.
