hi guys

so recently i bought a kessil A80 - it's awesome and except for my hammer all others doing pretty well.

my hammer isn't opening up fully. Any idea what should i do? should i increase the blue shade or increase more white? intensity is around 55-60% only. mine is a 15G nano tank so i thought 60% color intensity is good enough.

How long have you had the light / how long has the hammer not been fully open? I have hammers (all lit by kessils) in a variety of intensities with a max color of 50%. It may be less so the light settings but just the change over to the light in general. What lights did you have on the tank before?

Just 2 days only. Recently only I bought this light. Before that he will open up fully. I think he is getting used to the new setup. Not sure.

Before that I had a pathetic small LED light. Very dull I don't even know what type is that. That's why I wanted to switch to kessil.

I would definitely turn it down and ramp up then, the A80 isn’t very powerful but it still could be shocking your corals a bit based on your original light.

update -

thanks a lot for your guidance guys. I followed your advice, reduced intensity to 50% and now my hammer is OK. I will slowly increase 5% weekly or will just get a controller :)
