Hammer Babies????

So I picked up this new Hammer today and there little branches coming off the main base. I didn't think much of it until I saw what look to be very tiny Hammer "heads". I was always under the impression that the main head would split and that's how they reproduce. They even have the neon green right along the tips. Is this normal?

How long do you think those little heads take to grow into something of value

in good conditions probably several to 6 months, maybe a bit less. Awesome to see!

One of my hammers has about 9 little heads. The other 4 only have like 3-5 mini heads. I can’t wait for them to grow

Oh they turn into full sized heads real quick. Heads split and babies pop up along the stalk making them very fast growers.

It's funny how there really aren't any new heads, and then boom there are a ton. Same thing happened with my Duncan.
