Anyone know why this hammer’s polyps look like it’s morphing or turning from a nice hammer shape to these weird shapes? I’m thinking not enough lighting? This toxic splatter has also lost some neon green, it has been changing to a more purple.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Evening,

I see a healthy hammer, They will do that on their own. Polyps can change from neon to a different color or change shape for no reason. How long have you had it and any recent changes? You can try spot feeding or maybe adding amino acids, but I would do what you are doing for now if it is working. I say if it works, don’t mess with it. :)

I’ve had this toxic splatter for a year now and the polyps used to look more normal “hammer” like and not twisted like this so was wondering what may be wrong.

This is the euphyllia dominated display.
