Hammer changed with a blink of a eye!!!

Not sure if this is just me being nervous because other stuff in my tank is acting up but probably just the lights but can anything cause my hammer to close within three hours

Well, it is darker. Could be flow, time of day...

Looks like a hybrid to me. Is the frogspawn touching it where it retracted? I wouldn't expect an issue but you never know. Looks like there was a lighting change as mentioned or something could have bumped into or bothered it like a fish or invert.
