Recently one of my hammer has changed its shape. Not sure if this is troublesome. It has opened up quite a bit around each mouth. Tried moving to lower light and target feeding and I haven’t seen much change.

Hmmmm. Which shot is before and which is after? Regardless, in either shot the coral looks good.
Top picture is fully extended. Bottom one is the how it sits currently where the mouth is very exposed.

Well, what are your parameters, tank, current flow, maintenance schedule, etc.?

Tank params:
pH 8.2-8.4
ALK:8.0
CAL:450
Mg:1300
N:4-8ppm
P: Was 0 for 2 months. Been right at .1ppm for a week or so

Not much change ere, been feeding daily, mix of reef roids, and LRS. Seems to expel zoozanthelle, at night when the whites dim.

My hammers have changed quite a bit but nothing that concerns me that they're dying. Under my old lights the tentacles were thinner, the new lights made them fatter. The lower flow made them more extended. Visually they've changed but health wise they look great.

Agreed could be “poop”. Whats cause for concern was the lack of polyp extension compared to normal and the exposed mouth 24/7 compared to normal
