Hi I have had a hammer coral for about a week now and ever since I got it it's been pink and white, if you look really close you can almost see a hind of green, I placed it very high in my tank and just now I saw brown stringy stuff come out of one of its heads, I have two frags I moved one lower for about 2 days and it didn't open up until I put it back at the top. Do I need to move this coral down, is it bleaching, or pooping?

It could be pooping or expelling zooxanthellae, they are not fans of bright lights.

What kind of lights are you using and tell us more about your system, it might be fine where it is.

The stock lighting of a fluval evo 5, 31 white led and 6 blue

Definitely move it down
Even to the bottom and slowly work it up
I spent a month finding the sweet spot in my 125 it’s hard to find the right combo of flow and light
