My friend got a hammer added to his take for 2 days it dddint open up .

He noticed the salt level was low he added 20 water change .
Once he did it it started put out white string.

Now the tissue started to go off .

Is this brown jelly or somthing else which stressed the coral .

looks like it is struggling (no new news there) but i also noticed that the zoa are closed also. how about the rest of the livestock? recheck all parameters would be my starting point.

His salinity was really low .he tried to raise it slowly 20 change .then is strared to shoot out white stuff .do you thing taking this out and putting in a healthy tank can make it survive

That’s just another rapid parameter change for the coral. Have the dude slowly raise salinity. Best way to do that is just add more saltwater in over the top off line and let it slowly evaporate increasing salinity.

I will say unfortunately that when the mouth of euphyllia goes, the coral is done. I don’t know if this is recoverable. Would be amazing if it did though.

hold off on adding sensitive corals till your friend gets their tank under control

Evening,

I agree with all. I don’t think you have BJD, I think it is really , mad right now. Water and maybe light probably is the cause. Your polyps are there still, so there is a chance, but care needs to be taken like mentioned to slowly get things in line.

Anyone you know have a frag tank that can hold this until the tank is stable?

i would like to see the rest of the tank and all parameters. from the pictures above it looks like your tank is not ready for prime time yet as stated

Hi all bad news
It's gone.his refractometer was giving wrong reading. He trying to raise it slowly .hopefully it get stable before adding corals .it was a such a nice hammer the green was better than mine .
