Just looking for a bit of advice... I have a few hammer corals but I never had this happen before. I just noticed this tonight. Seems like the skeleton was damaged a bit (possibly when I was scraping the glass) and is dangling off the colony. It has some polyps still attached hanging off with it. Its blowing around in the flow and am afraid, in doing so, will further damage the main colony... What do you guys suggest I do here? The hammer is still extended but not as much as usual. I can tell it's stressed.

I also shot a vid so it can better illustrate how much its dangling in the flow...

Thanks in advance for the help.

Ouch! I think I would move it to a lower flow area. Maybe cutting off the dangling piece followed by a dip in coral revive or something similar first? Just to give it time to heal up. I'm sure others will have better advice though. Good luck :)

I lowered the flow already. I have a gyre so its like FLOW EVERYWHERE YEAAAAHHH! LOL. I didn't want to trim it since the coral was already stressed. I was gonna wait until the morning to see how it looks. The lights are off atm and it retracted like normal.
