So I got this hammer coral frag from unique corals and everything is great seems to be doing well... my only issue is it seems like the stalk is so short that when it fully extends it turns into the globe pictured... really I am worried about the tentacles sustaining damage from rubbing on the rock on the bottom.... here is a video to show the general flow and looks..... should I be worried about something like this?? Will it grow taller?

That is a very nice hammer. I have a hammer as well, and at first it was short, similar to yours, but it did grow tall eventually and it has stayed that way ever since. How long have you had this hammer?

It's 2 months to the day today!! But it's grown like crazy it didn't used to touch the rock underneath it but now I am hoping the skeleton grows upwards a little I don't have coralline there yet so I get worried it's going to damage those polyps

What kind of flow do you have going on?

Awesome thanks man... I was thinking of maybe adding a second cheap power head to the right of the tank to supplement a little more flow... it is a long tank.. wasn't ideal for my first build now I wish I went with a cube lol
