see if you can get a closeup of the skeleton on the bottom. id say between the lowest hammer and the bottom, get a pic of that whole are

Hammers are pretty forgiving for nutrients levels. What is your lighting? And since thats a wall hammer your going to want to tilt that back up. The bottom might have died from not getting enough light. What lights are you using? And where is it located?

Does not look good, no flesh on the ridges. What are your water parameters? Have you tried dipping the coral? If last resort you can try cutting the exposed skeleton off, to stop whatever is killing it.

I was thinking he had it sitting like this, you see the biggest bundle of hammers at the top then it gets smaller towards the bottom, but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and was hoping he turned it like this for the pic.

Either way. It needs to be moved back upright. I think thats the biggest issue he has right now. And move it to a better lit spot or if its under it directly to move it a bit farther away. What is the flow at where its sitting? Is it getting enough to blow the tentacles but not give them whiplash?

I agree with you ice fish. That wall needs to be in the upright position. The bottom is definitely not getting enough light.

Okay but that doesnt tell me or anyone else how much light its getting or how much flow. You want it to get medium light and medium to low flow. The tentacles should be waving and out but not too much that there getting whipped around
