Are these flatworms on my hammer coral? They've already been through one dip, and they didn't come off. One of my peppermint shrimp (who has been removed) ate a bunch of this coral, and I'm trying to nurse it back, but I may have found another issue...

They are not flat worms. Flat worms are thin and have a shield type shape. Those may be tube worms but they should not affect the hammer. Has it come out since your photo?

Yes it's doing much better. I was able to catch the killer shrimp, and took him to my LFS (who happened to have a tank with live rock completely full of aptasia... he's now in Peppermint Shrimp Heaven), and the coral looks to making a complete recovery. :)

I still have one in my tank... and he seems pretty chill. I've never seen him attack anything that was alive. Had a hermit doa, and he demolished that... but he hasn't bothered anything alive. A large part of me doubts he will eat aptasia if I ever get it.
