Hammer coral Missing tissue help!!!

My hammer coral was not looking that good for awhile it had not opened up full then today a took it out to help it by dipping it I noticed skeleton showing I am super worried can anyone give me any help

It just looks to be pulled in. They do that sometimes. Some more than others, and sometimes when getting irritated.

Is it near the goby shrimp pair? They could be tossing sand towards it and irrigating it....
 
I was near them but I pulled it out and put it somewhere else in my tank on the other side but I know that it is missing tissue
Are you talking about this area here?

Agree this doesn't look look bad or even abnormal. Still tho they should open all day if healthy.

My fav question for euphyllia is do you target feed, they seem to really benefit from it, although it won't eat when closed up like that.

I'd say give it flow and time and feed it if it opens up.
