Hammer Coral mouth

Hello, i have a hammer coral in my tank and it seems to be doing seemingly well. However in the middle of the hammer you can see something that looks like a mouth and it’s open. Is that bad? Or is it normal?

My picture is from a couple hours ago so it looks a little bit better

That’s its mouth. Looks good to me. It’s mouth will get wider as it grows and then eventually split into 2 mouths and 2 heads as it grows
