Hammer coral - Normal to look like this

Hey guys

It’s the first time my hammer coral looks as small as this since the 2 weeks I have him. Does it seem normal ? The second picture is where he’s at now: the first pic is what he normally looks like

I know everyone asks and it gets old, but what are your water parameters? Also, how is your flow right there? Almost looks as if the water is bouncing off the glass and is too strong for the hammer
 
Does it fill out at all during the day or is it staying like that all the time?

Just got back from work. Not sure how it’s looked for the most part of the day. It’s the first time I’m seeing it this small since it was added to the reef. Thanks for the response
 
Also where are your lights in regard to your schedule. If ramping up or down they can somethings deflate. Also if it’s pooping
