Hammer has been showing a weird pinkish splotch on polyps over the last few weeks. Does not seem to be red algae (does not blow off). No big changes recently. Looks fine during the day. At night, seems to have a bit of recession centrally that is new.

Parameters-
Salinity - 1.024
Nitrates - 10 ppm
Phosphate - 0.03
Calcium- 460

Thanks!

Do you have a photo with an orange filter or "pro mode" with white balance fixed? Honestly, I don't see any pink, but maybe that's me :)

Based on the description though, your hammer may simply be morphing. I have absolutely no way to get into the biology behind it, but sometimes they get more or different colors in the polyp. Looks happy and healthy to me though! :)

is your light schedule or the hammer new?
it could be morphing in your tank
i’ve had plenty that almost entirely changed color once in my tanks for a while

I haven't seen it mentioned, but it could also be flatworms. I noticed a fox coral with pinkish spots. I used a baster to confirm by sucking one up with it. A quick dip cleared them. You may want to try a dip just to be safe.
