Hey newer to corals in general. I just received this bi color hammer 48 hours ago and have been watching it closely to ensure nothing Is wrong when I noticed a bulge or bump at the base next to the mouth of one of the heads. Can anyone tell me what’s going on with my hammer? Thanks in advance.

First off it's a good looking hammer! Secondly I suspect it's acclimating to your tank and params. It might be splitting due to changes it's gone through, sometimes stress causes them to split. JMO

Thanks! It is awesome that was under cleaning light so I could get a good pic. Just want it to be in good health I’m sure it’s stressed from shipping and new home.
