I need some help. I was gone for a week on a business trip, and left my aquarium in the care of my very experienced partner who continued my normal feeding schedule (1 cube mysis every other day) and kept my sump topped off.
However, when I left my hammer coral looked like this: https://imgur.com/a43eVR7

Tank tests out fine, I'm not sure what's going on. The other corals in the tank appear to be doing well.
Anybody have any ideas?
Tank conditions:
65 gallons (plus a 20 gallon sump)
Running a skimmer and a GFO/Carbon reactor. No refrigium
Age: 2 months, although liverock and inhabitants were moved from a 14 month old 29 gallon biocube. Tank is well cycled thanks to the reuse of biomedia, sandbed and liverock
Inhabitants: Blue Maxima Clam, 2 hammer corals, 1 torch coral, 4 zoa colonies, a very isolated green star polp, a frogspawner, japanese neon green toadstool, 2 ocellaris clownfish, a diamond watchman goby, a zebra goby, 4 peppermint shrimp, 1 bubble tip anemone.
Tests:
pH (API): 8.2
Salinity: 1.026
Ammonia (API): 0 ppm
Nitrate (API): 0 ppm
Nitrite (API): 0 ppm
Phosphate (Salifert): 0.03 ppm
Calcium (Salifert): 425 ppm
Alk (Salifert): 10.2 dKH
Mag (Salifert): 1350 ppm
Temp: 80.5 F
As with any tank, there are always a few oddities going on, I don't know if they're related. I recently added the bubble tip anemone, and it's doing well and the clowns are hosting in it. It's not quite big enough to host both clowns, so I've seen one of the clowns occasionally act like it's hosting in some algae on the back glass. Was worried it may have attempted to host in the hammer coral but I've not caught it doing that so far.
The bubble tip is nearby the hammer coral, but not within striking distance (in either direction).
The upgrade to the 65 tank 2 months ago brought in the addition of the reactor and skimmer. I had an aborted algae outbreak and have no algea except some really small film on the back glass, and the green wiry algae (nuisance!) brought over from the original tank.
The goby is digging away like mad and I've had to shake sand out of some corals a couple times. The affected hammer was not one of the ones that got sand in it.
Lighting is a single Radion XR30W G4. It was put through a 4 week acclimation mode starting at 35% intensity. It is now at full brightness.
