Hammer coral tentacle tip shrinking over the last month?

My hammer coral looked really good for about 2 months but the last month it seems like the tentacle tips or hammers have been shrinking in size and I do not know why? He is near two other hammers and they have not shrunk in size at all compared to this one. If anyone has any idea what could be wrong I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

water parameters
Calcium- 490ppm
Magnesium- 1360ppm
Alkalinity - 9.0 dkh

nitrates - 0.5ppm
Phosphates - 0.03 ppm

yeah I thought that could be the issue. I’ve been feeding heavy for the last two weeks to try and increase the nitrates but it doesn’t seem to be working. Also cut back on the skimming and it’s still not increasing nitrates. You think I should dose nitrates to get it to normal levels or just keep feeding heavy? Thank you guys for the help so far
