Have had this hammer for about a month and he has just been looking better and better. Now his left head used to be pointing towards the top of the tank but it is falling down towards his base, is this normal?

Yes.. when they’re happy they will start to pinch heads and split.. yours looks happy

Correct.. I have the same one and some stalks have 4 heads now.

Good job! Keep up with water changes and testing calcium, alk, and mag and you’ll do just fine..

I don't test or do mag I just do water changes with fritz salt. Do you have a mag test you recommend?

I prefer salifert myself.. mag isn’t as important as calcium and alkalinity but it should tested randomly and kept up over 1250.. lps such has hammers like it higher around 1350-1400 but it’s not necessary.
