Hey guys I've got a 65gal long. One of my corals is a neon green hammer. I've noticed that my clown fish have begun to host it. The male seems to be very interested in the coral and is thrashing back and forth in it I assume this means he is looking to host it? Also I was wondering what methods have you found to be the best for accelerating their growth? I have two kessel a150w ocean blues over my tank.

I have a pair of clown that did the same on my hammer, I had to get rid of it due to the polyp recession was severe on the hammer and I have over 30 heads on this beautiful. It's the clowns or the hammer, the hammer won, gave my pair to a friend.

That is unfortunate :-( however I agree with you you spend that much time on a coral there's no sense in giving it up lol. How long did it take for it to grow that large? Are you using anything special to help it grow?

I bought that hammer about two and half years ago from about nine heads and blossomed to about 30 hds now, a lot of small babies on the stems. Just water changes and Vodka / MB 7 dosing weekly.

Branching hammers will grow at a good rate from my experience. Just find a spot it likes and don't touch it. It will give you good growth from stability.

I've had it for about 6 months I wanna say its "bushier" now I suppose however it doesn't seem to be "growing"
