Hammer Coral

First of all is this a hammer? It was sold to me as a hammer but its tips don't curve like most hammers. It was an inexpensive frag that I wanted to try so I bought it anyway.

Also, I've read their sweeper tentacles come out at night but mine opens up during the day and it's sweeper gets very long by midday. Is this normal?

I would say that it is a hammer(or might be a torch) and yep that is normal. Good looking frag

They can extend when they want them extended. Try feeding.

I target feed every time I feed fish (twice a day). I just give one piece of whatever I'm feeding fish and it always takes it. It's pretty cool watching the corals eat.

The tentacles of both my hammer and frogspawn frag are nice and fat during the day. They tend to shrink up at the end of the day.
