Hi all I’ve had this hammer for a long time now so definitely not from being new but I’ve had a spike in my salinity which went up to 29/30 which is being sorted out but I was wondering if this is from that and if I get it back to normal will hopefully heal?

Based on the picture the tissue doesn't look super healthy underneath, it's not white like I would expect. Do you have any other parameters to list or history of what led up to the salinity change?

by spike in salinity, do you mean it went up to 1.029-30 specific gravity? and not 29-30ppt, correct?

I would give it a couple days and see how it goes. There's flesh there so it's not a goner yet

Please dip it immediately and then place it back - and analyze what comes out. I had worms crawling and was able to save 2 out of 5, they looked just like this.

If all the parameters are fine then please do look into the nudibranch (a magnifying glass should help) in the dip residues.
