hammer dead overnight, frogspawn dead in 5 Hours.

Last night a Hammer I had for 5 weeks, looked a bit shrunk, next morning all polyps gone, bailed. dead, whatever.....was gutted, I was a bit concerned for a lovely indo torch I have as one of the heads was retracted, went out, got home 5 hours later, a new frogspawn, 3 days in tank, same, totally dead, was ok in the morning tho, torch looks ok btw.
I Added a frogspawn Frag On Saturday, dipped in Dip X 15mins then seachem coral dip for 15mins, done this with all coral additions had no problems, only have Zoas, Kenya tree and Euphillia in tank
Any Ideas?, LFS said it could be low/no iodine.

Most of what I've read about it seams to suggest the coral looks unwell beforehand with bjd, they looked fine yesterday, this was very fast 1st one about 12hours the second 5 hours or less !

Your Mag is a bit low, ideal would be around 1300-1350. Also your Cal is a bit high, I would suggest a water change to bring up your Mag and lower your Nitrate.

a large vermatid on the back of another snail has been close to the hammer for a few days could this cause a bailout?

BJD can kill euphyllia off in very short order (especially if the corals aren't that large). Per above, magnesium in the 1350-1450 range is ideal. You can also dose iodine as well but I don't necessarily think that's the main issue.

anything specific?, only seen the filefish nipping at an Acan frag that wasn't doing too well anyway.
