Hi, I have had this tank for about 5 months now, and everything has been doing great. Around 3 months ago, I bought a hammer coral, and when I got it it had a fleshy arm dangling off of it. I had no idea what it was so I left it alone. Now the hammer is twice the size it was before, and a few days ago the arm finally dropped. It is super hard looking, and is attached to the rock. I then noticed it started dropping another one behind it. What is it doing? It looks very healthy, and the water parameters are great. There is nothing that can harm it and there are no scratches or tears anywhere on it. Please help. Thanks,
-Ezra

Just noticed this was on it now too. I saw a thread a while ago that your not supposed to target feed it, so I haven’t been, could it not be getting enough food?

Hi Ezra,

I am having a bit of trouble seeing what you are describing. It looks healthy. From what you are describing I would think it was branching, but they don’t drop. Any way to get a few more pics to show what you mean?

Another thing I thought of is that my hammer has never looked like others, the heads aren’t bunched up, and you can see the middle very well like it’s stretching out and not bunching up like others, I’m not sure if this is true, just something I’ve noticed.
