Hi guys
One of my hammers has slowly been retracting the last few weeks and it seems like the algae has taken over it, it looks like it’s on it way out :(. How do I prevent this In the future? Is it to remove the algae before it can attack the coral?
I’ve turned down the white light and the nutrients are In check (nitrates are 5-10 and po4 is less than 0.08).
I’ve got a lawn mower blenny that is quite fat from eating all day do I need more herbivores?
My other corals are doing fine (pic of my other big hammer attached)

You need to move that thing and dip it before it gets brown jelly if it doesn’t have it already.

You can also dip the coral in hydrogen peroxide 3%. Just pour some in a container I usually do half tank water half peroxide and let the coral sit in there for 2-3 min and it will kill all the algae on the coral.
