Hi

I got a nice yellow hammer at the frag farmers market a few weeks ago.

It’s been closed and I blasted it with a pipette to get some debris off and then ended up blasting some tentacles off.

Is it dying? I don’t think it’s brown jelly because it is not brown. Color is still there.

Any way to revive it?

Looks like he’ll come around to me,
They don’t like a lot of flow and are pretty resilient
What kind of lighting was he used to from the guy you got him from ?
Don't know what light they used unfortunately. I think it was under LEDs at the swap though.

At this point, I think all you can do is maybe an iodine dip (or some other disinfectant) and baby it along in a low flow, lower light area.

I will say this, however. Don't give up until you are absolutely convinced that there is not on speck of flesh left. I've had many euphyllia go though polyp bailout but leave bits of flesh on the skeleton. Almost all of those, with patience and time, will eventually recover with good husbandry and some nutrients in the water column. I have this happen at least four times in the past.

Make sure you get all the head pieces out! That’s where all the stinger cells are located and if one floats and touches or gets stuck on something like a SPS it could do some damage
