Hammer flesh receding?

I’m note sure what’s happening to my hammer, polyps are extending looks good but the flesh around the base looks like it’s receding? Any help would be appreciated.

IMO …its when you see flesh pulled back into the skeleton thats is really bad…
Maybe change locations, less flow, less light or whatever…maybe someone else knows something, I don’t see anything

A single water test result doesn’t paint much of a picture and is really just a snapshot. Those numbers look good. But what have they looked like the last couple months? Corals like stability in parameters, lighting, and maintenance. Do you do water changes? Do you dose? Do you know your PAR levels? What’s flow like? The list goes on. If you take a look at your tank, how do honestly think your tank operates in terms of day to day, week to week, and month to month? You can usually find a good answer to most coral issues.
