So I have this hammer head in my tank. Had him for about a month now and over the past couple of days I have noticed that one of the heads it’s mouth is open a lot. I’ve head it thinking it maybe hungry. I did get a feeding response but the mouth was still clearly visible.

I’m not sure what is going on with it. The head head is looking and doing just fine.

Tank stats

Hard to tell from the photo but it looks irritated. Do you have any shrimp in the tank? If so keep an eye on them as they like to steal food from corals. Also, I would lower the alkalinity a little bit, it is a little higher than the average. I don't think this is the issue but most people run theirs @ 10 or lower..
FWIW, Coral don't open their mouths when hungry, only when eating...
Hope this helps..

I got shrimp in the tank but they don’t mess with him for some reason.

And the dKH in RedSea Coral Pro Salt comes at 11.8 - 12.2 dKH

Usually shrimp do their dirty work while you are sleeping...
Unless you are running a full blown SPS system I would not use that salt..

What are your lights intensity set to? Did you light acclimate your coral?

I use Kent Marine salt and have no issues with my LPS and Euphyllia, so I definitely would reccommend this salt. I haven't used Red Sea Pro salt, however i Do know it tailors more to the SPS corals, as Reeferdood said.
