The hammer fell out of his skeleton into the rock below. That white above him is where he was.I don’t quite understand what I’m looking at.
I read he needs more calcium. The hammer fell out of his skeleton into the rock below. That white above him is where he was.
No I kind have just been letting the tank work on it’s own. I guess I need a po4 test kit. And probably should do water changes. I don’t do them often.By dropped I'm assuming you mean the fleshy polyp fell off the skeleton? There are a bunch of threads on polyp bail out. Sometimes the heads live and slowly grow a new skeleton sometimes they die.
What are your water parameters? It is believed that high PO4 can lead to polyp bailout. Do you test for PO4?
Yea he’s still opened up on the bottom as well. Will he die? What’s the best course of action to take? I’ll be going to the fish store today. It's polyp bailout and technically it's possible for the polyp to grow a new skeleton it's incredibly unlikely.

Fluval 13.5 gallon. I don’t have any po4, mag or cal test kits. I will be grabbing those soon today. What is the volume of your tank?
What about nitrate, salinity, pH?Fluval 13.5 gallon. I don’t have any po4, mag or cal test kits. I will be grabbing those soon today.
Those have been stable. Haven’t checked recently. But nothing new has been added. Tanks 8 months oldWhat about nitrate, salinity, pH?
Bailout happens after shocking parameter changes or constantly wrong water parameters.
Yea he won’t stay on the rock anymore he fell off. He’s still open though.Bailout happens after shocking parameter changes or constantly wrong water parameters.
For example you get a new fish put it in your tank not knowing LFS has copper in the heir water. Or you have high phosphates for long. Etc. if lucky you can save the fallen of head but only if ideal conditions are there so most cases it will not happen.
Phosphates are .25, calcium seems high I just got a test kit. It’s 700Bailout happens after shocking parameter changes or constantly wrong water parameters.
