Hammer hitchhiker

Anybody know what this is attached to the base of this four head hammer. The coral looks small in picture becasue it fell off the rock it was attached to last night. That's the only reason I now see this whatever it is. Before the coral was covering this up where I couldnt see it.

Vermetid Snail, and a rather large one. You can superglue the end of the tube to starve it out

I picked most of the shell off with a knife then glued the rest of it over and covered with expoy. Hope the coral survives the surgery. Thanks for the help. Good thing the coral feel off the rock or I would never have seen it.
