i got a hammer coral a couple weeks ago and the one side seems to be losing color and I just noticed this stringy stuff coming out.

I’ll try and get a better picture tomorrow

Is the "stringy stuff" brown?

What's your water pramameters?

It’s white, almost clear. Not a lot just a little

Didn’t get a chance to check tonight since I got home late.

I just checked the other day and nitrates were 1, phosphate 0

I can test everything tomorrow to give you a better idea

Yes that would work. Euphyilla corals sometimes retract when they are irritated and bounce back. My torches do this sometimes. It's normal.

Expelling "slime" is common, but is a little worrisome.

Report back on your water.
